This sweet chuck of love is Ruby....she and her brother Maynard were recently surrendered to rescue when their previous owners had to make the hard decision to move and not be able to take their 2 beloved hounds with them!! They made the best decision they could for Maynard and Ruby and placed them in rescue and now here they are looking for their forever homes!! Ruby is a sweet gentle middle aged, around 6 years, girl just needing a home to call her very own. She gets along well with her hound brother and Cocker Spaniel sister Sophie and all though she seems to enjoy their company we think she would be just fine as a single dog in the home as long as she is not left alone for extended periods of time. Her favorite past times include finding a soft spot to sleep while sunbathing and she is a fearless fly fighter (She stalks them and catches them :)!!! She enjoys lap time while her humans are watching TV and will never miss an opportunity to remind you her ears need a good rubbin if you have free hands!! She is of course house trained, what dignified lady isn't at her age. She is UTD on all vaccinations, HW Tested negative and on preventative and altered. Please remember Every animal for adoption through an Hounds Haven is fully vetted for their age and only needs routine preventive care. Dogs older then 6 months of age are heartworm tested! All dogs are kept on heartworm preventative. Every hound is vaccinated (age appropriate), and de-wormed, in addition to being spayed/neutered.
We are asking for interested parties to fill out a pre-adoption questionnaire prior to us lining up an appointment for them to see the hound(s) at the hound(s)' home.
