Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Chenille has not had an easy life. Through no fault of her own, she has been in and out of the shelter several times since 2015. Her humans have either lost their job, lost their home, or have been subjected to landlord prejudice against her breed.
Chenille is a very sweet and gentle girl who is looking for some stability in her life. She is very attentive to her humans - following them everywhere. She is moderately playful but prefers to camp out on the couch with her people or quietly wander around the backyard taking in the sights and smells.
She quickly became a staff favorite at the local shelter with staff members bringing her into their office while they did their paperwork. She’s very respectful of the indoor environment and would lie next to their desks, keeping them company. See the cute picture of Chenille with her admiring Animal Control Officer.
She takes treats very gently, knows her sit/stay commands and is great on a leash! It is very pleasurable and relaxing to take her for a walk. She does not pull.
Chenille has been abandoned many times but she certainly does not hold a grudge. She’s extremely affectionate and is simply looking for a forever home.
Please send an email to DrPierson2@catinfo.org if you would like to meet Chenille or have any questions about her. The pictures and videos included here were taken the first day out of the shelter. Many new videos showing her gentle and loving personality are available upon request.
