Amilyn
Est. DOB: June 8, 2019
Description: DMH Black
Gender: Female
Amilyn is a pretty lady with a long body, a long tail and soft fur. She loves to play – plastic balls, catnip mice, and her favorite – spring coil toys. She sometimes makes crying noises while she carries her toys around in her mouth (“look what I hunted and caught!”). She loves to run around the house and play with her foster sisters. She also enjoys the screened in porch. Amilyn would do best with another cat. Amilyn is a nice girl and will sometimes sit in your lap after she gets to know you. And she is fond of getting to know you while being brushed, especially under her chin. While she does like being petted and receiving chin scratches, she does not like being picked up. She will come stand on her hind legs and vocalize when she wants attention. Amilyn is very shy initially and may take some time to settle in and feel comfortable, so will need a patient adopter.
Amilyn was rescued from WCAS with her three newborn kittens after they were surrendered right before closing time. She was extremely emaciated and needed extra feedings to get her healthy.
