Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Cody is a male red dapple Dachshund. He is 7.5 years old and he weighs 21 pounds. Cody is neutered and vaccinated including rabies. He tested heartworm negative and is receiving monthly heartworm prevention. He is ready for adoption.

Cody was the sole companion to his elderly mother. He is a really good boy hanging out with his person. Cody gets along with other dogs, but prefers the ladies when it comes to humans. Cody walks on a leash, is potty trained, and has been sleeping quietly in a crate at night since being in rescue. We suspect he would prefer a ramp to the big bed. Cody likes to ride in the car but a pet taxi is a bit stressful to him...he likes to ride in the driver’s lap though, so he needs to be harnessed to the seatbelt for safety. Cody is seeking a home with only female people. He gets very stressed by change and will need space and minimal interaction at first, allowing him to ask for pets or attention at his pace.
