My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

On "May the 4th be with you" day (May 4, 2020), four kittens were born to a petite tabby cat named Baby Gump who was mistaken by the caretaker as a boy kitten. Baby Gump was supposed to be dropped off at the clinic by 8 am to get “neutered” on May 4th. Imagine the jaw dropping surprise to the caretaker when she saw three infant kittens screaming and wriggling next to Baby Gump that same morning. Baby Gump was just as confused and shocked, and she did not know what to do with the kittens. The caretaker sent out an SOS message via FB. One of the fellow rescuers dashed over faster than a Jedi knight to the kittens’ rescue to warm and feed them. After getting over her own shock and confusion, Baby Gump started to nurse the three girls. But the Force was strong with mama cat on this day and she had one more surprise in store for the humans - she gave birth to the only male kitten in the litter right before midnight. So “Four” kittens were born on the "May the 4th be with you" day!

Jyn is the only non-tabby in the family. She has unique soft gray and white markings. Knowing that she is quite beautiful, Jyn can be somewhat of a diva. Jyn is headstrong and will show affections to people, but only on her terms. Nevertheless, Jyn is sweet and cuddly but she is quick to let her humans knows when she has enough cuddling.

Jyn is also very active and playful. She sometimes gets so worked up with fetching the toy dangling from the fishing rod that she hyperventilates; but she won’t stop playing. Her foster mom has to hide the toy so that Jyn can catch her breath.

Jyn is very attached to her siblings. When the twins Luke and Leia left for their forever home, Jyn went on a hunger strike for a day. Luckily the remaining sister, Rey, and mom were there to comfort her. So if at all possible, Jyn would like to be adopted with Rey. With the two of them around, it is certain that there will never be a dull moment.

Because the girls have always been allowed to do whatever they want while growing up, they don’t understand their boundaries, and may play roughly with humans. Therefore, they won’t do well with young children. However, Jyn and her sister would love to have a home where they will receive lots of pampering and interactive playtime from their human family members.

Birth date: May 4 2020
