My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

How could ever you say "no" to a face like his?! This pretty boy is Sneaky, a 4 1/2 year old Retriever that is ready to make his way into you heart! Sadly, Sneaky was surrendered because he was able to escape his previous owners yard, which is how he got his name! When he is left alone outside too long, he gets bored and lonely, and might try to jump or dig out. He will need to be primarily inside and watched when outside at first. To be safe, this sweet boy will need a home with at least a 7 ft wooden/brick fence, no chain link (he can climb them)! His previous owners did say that he does well with kids and other dogs, but he does not appreciate cats. He was also kept outside, in his previous home, but he is now enjoying his life with AC and soft blankets to curl up and relax in! Sneaky loves tummy rubs, snacks, and having toys to play with! He does not, however, enjoy fireworks or loud noises! His previous owners also said that he is food possessive, and guards food, so it would be best to feed him away from any other dog or small children, to be safe. Despite everything, Sneaky really is just the sweetest dog ever. He does have some quirks, but who doesn't? He loves attention, he would sit and let you pet and love on him all day long! Sadly, Sneaky did test positive for heartworm, but his treat is completely covered in his adoption fee. Sneaky has done really really good with the potty routine here, but may need some time to adjust to the routine in his new home. He is current on all of his vaccines, microchipped and neutered so he is ready to go home today! Come meet Sneaky at the Waggin' Tails Adoption Center in Benbrook, open every day from 12-6 pm, by appointment!
