While Riley may seem shy at first, he warms up quickly and once he is comfortable shows his true colors. Riley is the sweetest guy, young at
heart and with a gentle disposition. He is well mannered, polite, obedient and has a desire to please. Riley has spent most of his life being shuffled around and hasn’t always been shown the love and care he deserves. He is now looking for stability with a loving family to live out his retirement years with. Riley gets along well with all dogs both big and small and despite his age still has a playful side. At his foster home he has loved daily games of chase and wrestling matches with his foster brother. One of his favorite past times is going on walks. He is great on the leash, adaptable, great in the car and an awesome companion. Based on feedback from his prior owners, they said that Riley is also good with kids and their outdoor cat.
Riley originally was left at the county shelter with significant hair loss and skin irritations likely from poor diet and allergies. Now that he has been put on a more nutritious kibble diet, along with supplements and salmon oil for his skin and fur he has transformed into the handsome boy we all knew he could be! While Riley has shown himself to be adaptable in a variety of situations, what he really is looking for now is a loving and stable home that will provide for his slower pace of life. If you are looking for a laid back and loving companion who can live out their golden years with you, Riley is your guy!
