Here's what the humans have to say about me:
All of our pets start their journey in Memphis Tennessee where they remain in loving foster families until they are adopted.
In order to qualify for ALIVE Rescue Memphis's program all of the following steps must be met:
• You must be at least 21 years of age and be able to provide ALIVE with proof of age.
• Any current pets must be up to date on vaccinations, and be spayed/neutered. Exceptions to this will only be considered if proof of a medical explanation is provided.
• If you currently rent, you must provide a landlord’s phone number and a copy of your executed lease.
• All members of the family living in the home where the animal will be placed must be interviewed.
• Applicant must live within 50 miles of Memphis if interested in adopting and within 30 miles of Memphis if interested in fostering. If fostering/adopting from Alive Rescue Nashville chapter you must live 30 miles from Nashville. If adopting from our Chicago chapter, you must live 40 miles from Chicago. If adopting from Grand Rapids, you must be 50 miles from Grand Rapids
•Allow an ALIVE Rescue Memphis representative into your home for a visit to insure that your home is safe for the potential new dog or cat.
•You must allow an ALIVE Rescue Memphis representative into your home for a visit to ensure that your home is safe for the potential new pet.
•You must be able and willing to spend the time and money necessary to provide training, medical treatment, and proper care for a pet.
•Currently, adoptions fees in Memphis are $275 for a dog over 4 months of age, $300 for a dog under 4 months of age.. Adoption fees for the Nashville area are $325 and include transportation. Adoptions fees for the Chicago & Grand Rapids area are $475 and include transportation.
•We require an additional $75 training deposit at the time of adoption. You will be required to enroll and complete a training class with your new companion at one of our approved training facilities. Once ALIVE Rescue Memphis receives proof of the completed class, this $75 deposit will be refunded.

Due to the extremely high volume of inquiries we receive, we ask that you submit an application immediately to start the adoption process. We try very hard to include all pertinent information in our bios. We are excited to help you find your new family member. However, ALIVE Rescue Memphis is operated 100% by volunteers. We want to spend our time saving dogs and assisting those adopters who have taken the time to complete an application. Thank you for understanding.
Breed selection is done in conjunction with two local vets and is not to be considered a guarantee but rather a well-educated decision from well qualified staff.
