My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Ophelia! When we trapped this sweet house panther back in May, her extreme mosquito allergy had left her nose a bloody mess, she was emaciated, her small body was full of mammary tumors and she was pregnant, again. She would have never made it thru another birth in her condition! You can see from her before pictures what a rough time she was having.

Luckily, we were able to get her the immediate lifesaving care that she needed before it was too late. She is a strong woman and recovered from her surgeries so she is now looking for a loving furever home!! Now, with the exception of her unique nose, no one would ever know what she went thru!

This beautiful girl loves to have her head and belly rubbed, she adores attention and will tell you all about her day after hypnotizing you with her emerald green eyes! She will lay next to you while you are reading and will chirp if you stop petting her. She has become quite the lap cat in the last few weeks as well!

Ophelia still gets spooked if you move too quickly and will need a very loving and patient home where she can continue to learn to trust. She will hide when she feels unsafe so a proper transition will be needed but this behavior will lessen as time goes by and she adjusts. She needs ALL of your attention and would prefer to be a single cat.

She has been spayed, microchipped, received rabies & FVRCP vaccines, dewormed and treated for fleas. Ophelia is FIV+ but that’s no problem! FIV is not contagious to humans nor transmitted to other pets thru casual contact, food, water, sharing a litter box, grooming or sharing toys.

If you are interested in welcoming Ophelia in to your home please complete the adoption application and we will be in touch.
