My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.

Meet Sharon!  She is the sweetest pumpkin!  For the most part, she is a timid, affectionate girl who acts like a sage lady.  Born around February 2018, she is on the small side and a bit skinny at 62 pounds.

Sharon is the best cuddler ever!  Want to snuggle on the couch?  She will spoon with you!  Her favorite place in the whole world is nestling into you.  If she is already asleep on the couch, she sweetly allows you to rearrange her paws so you can fit in there with her.  She loves to nuzzle her head in your lap or curl up at your feet.

For the most part she likes to be in the same room as you.  Sometimes she likes to lay in a cool spot outside or find a dark indoor corner to rest on her own.

Sharon needs to have young, playful, large doggy companion in her forever home.  She has a blast racing around the house and yard with her big foster siblings.  Be sure you’re not in their way, because they might accidentally clip you at the knees!

We have not seen her with house cats, but the animal shelter told us that she was great with their cats.

Sharon is smart, well-behaved, and responds very well to ‘No’.  She is learning additional basic manners like ‘Sit’ and ‘Come.’  She is already fully house trained, and she is great about asking to go outside when she needs to go.

She is amazing on the leash, and she loves going on daily short walks.  She loves walking right next to you and sometimes will lean against you while walking.

She has no need to be crated, but she likes to use an open-door one to put herself to bed at night or as her little safe space when she hears a loud noise.

She rides nicely in a car.  She appreciates a little boost when asked to clamber into a big SUV.

She is not much of a barker, but sometimes she has a thing or two to say.

Do you have room in your home for this delightful sweetheart?

SPIN Pyrs are all in foster homes in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. Potential adopters are asked to make travel arrangements if they live elsewhere. All SPIN dogs are spayed or neutered, current on vaccinations and on heartworm prevention. Please go to our website www.SpinRescue.org and fill out an application for this great Great Pyrenees!
