My story

If you need more info please email. We only have volunteers and are unable to answer general adoption questions/questions about a dog over the phone. Penelope is a 2.5 year year old Dachshund/Beagle mix. She is spayed, up to date on shots, heartworm negative and microchipped. She weighs around 15lbs.
Penelope is a extremely active girl. She loves to run and play. She is good with other dogs and seems fine with older kids 8+. She is very vocal and would not be a good apartment dog. She knows how to use a doggie door and sleeps in a crate at night.
Penelope has luxating patellas in her back knees. We have attempted surgery 3 times and they have been unsuccessful. Since she runs and plays and they don’t seem to bother her now we feel that putting her through another painful and possibly unsuccessful surgery again is not in her best interests. When she is older she could need Maintenance Pain meds as needed.
Her adoption fee is $95.00
