My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

CHALLENGING OPPORTUNITY FOR AN EXPERIENCED CAT PERSON

Do you like a good challenge? Consider yourself savvy with cats? And have extra time to spend with a kitty that needs your attention and patience in learning to trust humans? We have a few shy cats that we rescued from euthanasia and need your help in turning them around. These cats are not aggressive, and they will play with the toys you put in front of them. They just need a chance to work with someone that can give them the time they need to develop human trust. We believe they have a chance to be adopted one day; they just need a dedicated foster that can work with them on a daily basis. If you are working from home these days and have the extra room to work with a kitty that gets along with other cats, please consider working with one of the following kitties. They just need time and patience. If you are interested in helping any of these cats, please email maria@ppahrescue.org

Alvin - Orange Tabby Male – 9 months
He will run from you and hide when you walk into the room, but as soon as you bring out the string toys and show him it’s play time he will immediately come out and play. Although he keeps a safe distance, he focuses on the toy and forgets about the person behind th. In a few weeks you can even get close enough to him to give Alvin a few pets. He loves to chase the laser. He is not aggressive. He needs to learn that humans can be trusted and they mean him no harm. If only he had more hours with his foster, he has the potential Ito develop into a trusting cat. He is fully vetted and gets along with other cats once introduced properly.

Little Jon – Black Male – 9 Months
This long hair handsome cutie will melt your heart. You just wish you could pick him up and give him lots of kisses the minute you meet him. He is showing promising signs of getting braver around humans. He now walks with his current foster following her around the room before he runs off. He will run and hide when you enter the room, but comes right back out to see what you are up to and most importantly what you plan on putting in the food bowl. He is very curious when you bring out the toys and watches from a safe distance. He loves little stuffed toys; he bats them around and chases balls around the room. He also likes the laser. Little Jon gets along with other cats very easily which helped him adjust to his new surroundings. He just needs someone with time to spend with him. He is not aggressive and is fully vetted.

Mr. T – Black/gray tabby Male – 2 Years
This sweetheart so desperately wants to trust humans. He is so curious and finds a place to hide to watch what is going on in the room before coming out. He is very sensitive which keeps him from letting his guard down. He has a tender side and is never aggressive. Once he gets familiar with his surroundings and is used to a time schedule he becomes more relaxed. And when familiar with you, he welcomes gentle pets under on the top of his head received from a back scratcher. His foster mom tries to pet him, but he shies away and is frightened. We are looking for someone that can give Mr. T much needed time to trust his caregiver. He is never aggressive and is fully vetted.
