My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hello. My name is Maizey or Maizey Mae as my human provider likes to call me. She thinks she's clever... she is not. I am an older lady around 12 years old and weigh around 8 pounds. I may be older but I have a lot of spunk and life left in me. I came to my foster house, almost 9 months ago, because my former owner had to go to assisted living and I was not allowed to attend with her. It took me a bit to settle in but now I can honestly say I love my new people. I was pee pad trained but I am 95% much potty trained now. I will go potty outside just to see my human provider make a fool of herself by clapping and saying "good girl". I am not amused. But I do like it outside because i have never spent time outside and love to sun bathe. Initially I was very standoffish with her and my new dad but I like it when the rubs my butt and scratches behind my ears a lot. It's a small price to pay for the snacks they gives me. When the other dogs are not around, I engage my humans in play . . . it seems to please them. I had to have a dental cleaning and they pulled 12 teeth but I am able to eat just fine. My human providers say I seem much happier but once again .... I am not amused. When they are slow in getting my meals together I bark at them and go in circles to help encourage them. If I need anything else I will squeak at them to get their attention. They respond quickly ... I have trained them well in a short time . I sleep in my crate all night. In fact, if I'm in my crate, thee shall not enter. That is my domain and is sacred. I need out of this home as there are too many dogs and my human providers keeps petting me and calling me "little mama". I would prefer a quieter home with older children or no children at all. I am getting this potty outside thing down. Finally, my ideal home would be someone who considers me the queen that I am.... I have a sweet side .... you just need to give me time to adjust. I do not mind my foster siblings but they are younger, bigger and much more active ... I think I would like a home with some siblings that are more my speed as I do love to play with them on my terms. So please apply to adopt me and save me from this animal house ... an old lady can only chase so many dogs out a day
