My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Introducing thishandsome man, Dash! He is a carefree and happy guy who is looking for his perfect forever home! He is known as a bit of a goofball but also has somewhat of mellow demeanor for such a young hound dog. He will need someone with dog experience as he is an "escape artist" and "counter surfer" (enjoys human snacks from the kitchen counter) and needs training on loose leash walking. Because he does try to escape, we are also requiring the home to have a secure and stable 6ft fence. He has been able to escape from fences that are not secured properly or that are flexible and may "bolt" once he has escaped. Because of this, the fence requirement is not negotiable.

Since he is only 2 years old, he will need an owner that is active and able to take him out for walks, hikes and adventures! He would absolutely LOVE living in a rural area or perhaps a farm. Dash would be fine as an only dog but seems to do best with females or older male dogs. He would be fine with children 12 years and older. No cats and no chickens.

Dash is house trained and crate trained. He will alert bark when strangers approach his home. He knows the commands: "drop it", "shake" and "sit" and (sometimes) "come". :) He loves the ball, rope toys, squeaky toys and being outside! Dash is such a fun dude and will make a great addition to the right home
