My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet lively little 10 Lbs Maya. Shelter put her age at 4 yrs, but she seems more likely to be around 2-3 yrs old. She’s playful and bouncy, but also a total lap baby. Her exact breed mix is a mystery, but she has a Terrier personality.

She’ll sleep in her crate at night if it is in the same room as you, but where she really wants to sleeps is curled up in bed next to you. She’s a happy little walker. She likes her toys. She does well with the 4 other dogs in her foster home, but cats are a no go for her.   

Maya is timid when approached, but loving once in your arms. She can get a tough girl attitude and become defensive if she gets too scared, so she’ll need a calm home without kids under the age of 10. She doesn’t appear to have had much training beyond house training. She’s a smart lady and treat motivated though, so she’ll do well with someone willing to invest training time in her.

Maya is not a fan of being left alone and will get vocal about it. A home where she would be regularly left alone for extended periods of time will not be considered.  Also, don’t let her size and age fool you, she is not on the calm end of energy levels. Her best fit is going to be with a family that can keep her mind and body exercised.

Maya is microchipped and up to date on vaccinations and preventative. She has an August 19th Underdogs Rock Rescue provided spay appointment in Clackamas, OR. An adopter will need to be able to take her in for that appointment. Adoption fee is $380.
