River, is an absolute doll baby. Her big doe eyes and floppy ears will make your heart melt. Very sweet and funny gal you can’t help but want to give her a million sweet kisses. River came to WTWTA Rescue after being contacted by a local good samaritan where she showed up on their property as a stray. No microchip or identification, we searched long and hard for her past owners to no avail.
Malnourished and covered in bites, River was given a second chance in life by these good Samaritans who have been providing her with a calm and loving environment. She loves to get her belly rubbed, and if you rub just right she flops over onto her back and lets you have the whole tummy. She’s a short stack bully gal, and appears to have had a litter or two. Sadly no signs of her pup pups when she arrived.
The good Samaritans although originally cat people have fallen head over heals for this girl, which gives you a good idea on how sweet her personality is and how much her soulful spirit touches everyones hearts she meets. She would do wonderful in a small house hold or large. She’s skittish of some cats but not aggressive. Good with other dogs so if you have one she would do best with a calm and content counterpart. She knows sit, stay and is workin on a few others and picks up routines quickly, she’s a very smart girl!
River’s currently being treated for heart worms and is expected to make a full recovery. She will be available to her furever home in just 4 wks.
