My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Please note, we are a Texas based rescue that transports our pups once they are adopted. All of our dogs reside in foster homes, so much is known about their temperament, training level and personality. We know adopting a dog sight unseen can be daunting, so we are happy to share additional videos, photos and even let you Facetime with the pup. Thank you for wanting to adopt!

I was named after a character from the 1995 movie, Empire Records...can I get a shout out from all of the millennials? While the movie opened to critical reviews, my delightful name lives on with me!! Foster mom did modify it a little bit. The iconic line is "Oh, Rexy, youre so sexy!" Since I am a wee lass, she changed the line to "Oh, Roxy, youre so foxy!". Foster mom is weird, but thinks she is funny. I still love her.

As an adorable 1 year old little girl, purebred long haired Dachshund, I most definitely should have had the lead in the movie!! I mean, look at my gorgeous red flowing locks and liquid brown eyes! At only 8 pounds of svelte loveliness, I could definitely carry the show!

I was surrendered to the rescue because my original owner could no longer take care of me. While this is super sad for us both, it is the best and I am looking forward to a new FOREVER home.

I am sweet, sweet, sweet by nature and am known by my Foster Mum as the resident "Lap Warmer"; I love snuggling and giving kisses!! I have a very engaging personality that has everyone falling in love with me at first kiss!! ( I told you I should have had the lead in that movie!)

I am house trained, crate trained and love to sleep curled up next to you at night (and day :) I get on great with all of the other small dogs and cats. I can be a little bit vocal, so would probably do best in a house vs an apartment.

Whether you are a millenial, parent of a millenial, or a wanna be millenial, I hope that you will fill out an application and adopt me today!!
