My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi! My name is Brea! I came to MVPC with several other dogs all the way from Atlanta, GA! You see, we all had varying medical issues and MVPC loves helping nice dogs who just need a bit of time to heal or some great medical attention to get healthy. I was kinda an in-between. I am perfectly healthy, but came into the shelter with a severe burn going all the way down my back. I have spent some time healing and luckily My skin is looking so much better and my hair is growing back!

I am about a year old and a big ole sweetie that loves to sit in your lap. I am active and love to play ball, and will definitely need a fence to give me the freedom for my zoomies! I am working on my confidence, so my new family will need to help me continue to learn the world isn’t scary, it is fun! I am a little too interested in cats, but am good with other dogs with proper introductions. With my good looks and sweet personality, I just know there is a family out there who wants to continue to teach me how to be an awesome dog!!

ADOPTION FEE: $200 (All MVPC dogs are heartworm-tested, completely vetted, spayed/neutered, microchipped, crate-trained and house-trained)
ADOPTER: Dog experience
BIRTHDAY: Estimated 1 year
FENCE: Required (an electric fence is not an acceptable form of containment)
DOGS: Yes, if other dogs in the home, must be male
CATS: No, they are fun to chase
CHILDREN: Yes, 8 and over simply because I am a strong girl.

INQUIRIES: ALL inquiries begin with a submitted adoption application, which is found on our website, www.miamivalleypitcrew.com. We do not adopt to individuals under the age of 25. We prefer male/female dog pairings unless both already reside in the home.

DO NOT: USE THE PETFINDER CONTACT/ADOPT BUTTONS--we are unable to monitor those and you will not receive a response.

PLEASE NOTE: We are volunteer based and a home visit is required; we have a two-hour adoption radius from Kettering, OH for our adult dogs and 75 miles for our puppies. Exceptions for our ADULT dogs only, though rare, may be made on a case-by-case basis but we must be able to do a home visit. Thank you for your understanding!
