My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Toby is a 2-year-old Longcoat GSD who is looking for an experienced handler. The shelter where he was dumped at only said he lived outside with a pack of dogs. Four wood walls and to many other lonely dogs is the only thing he had known. When he came to us, it was obvious that toby had very little human interaction. Toby is house trained and crate trained and has a strange connection with a certain orange ball. We are looking for a home with someone who is wanting to spend time working and training him. He was never socialized around people or places and this has him fearful at first, so he will need a handler who will make him feel safe and keep strangers informed. He also will need a home with carpeting, he is not comfortable walking on hardwood or tile floors. His favorite things to do are playing fetch and playing in the water of any kind especially the baby pool. We are asking you have a fenced in yard so he can play and run freely. He is getting better walking on a leash and can be hesitant in public places so a quiet neighborhood is recommended. He is good with other dogs of all sizes outside the home but he will need to be the only dog for now.. We are not sure about cats, but he doesn't seem to have a prey drive, can get excited seeing one once in a while but mostly - ignores them. A home with no children is recommended. Toby is a happy boy and loves being in the house with his foster mom, he has so much potential with the right person.
