My story

Please note, we are a Texas based rescue that transports our pups once
they are adopted. All of our dogs reside in foster homes in TX, so much is known
about their temperament, training level and personality. Thank you for wanting to adopt!

My name is June Bug but I more like a 4th of July sparkler! I am a one year old heeler mix.

I am super smart, super active, super sweet, and the best dog, for an active family who understands my breed.



I love, love, love other dogs – I make dog friends everywhere I go. Nothing tires me out better than a good wrestle in the yard with one or two or twelve of my besties.



I also love people – they are all so interesting, with their treats and their pets and their excellent sayings, like “June Bug is a good good girl!”



I am a youngster, so I am a work in progress. I like to mouth things, just to check them out – I am learning to control that. I am pretty excited about everything, so I need work on finding my chill. A wise, consistent human will know how to channel my energy and bring out the best in me. I’m smart and fast and I would love a job to do – agility maybe?



I’d love to find an active family, maybe with another dog to show me how things are done, and find my forever home. Is that you? I can’t wait to meet you.
