My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Winnie needs a family to love her! Could that be you? Winnie is a foxhound mix who is estimated around 5 years old although it is hard to know for sure because she was a stray. Winnie is a super sweet girl who likes everyone she meets. She can be shy at first but warms up quickly. Winnie is dog friendly and even wouldn't mind a cat wondering around the home. Winnie is housebroken as long as she is let out consistently. Winnie has unfortunately been looked over because she is having some medical issues. Winnie had intestinal parasites which she has been treated for. These caused her to lose weight so she is very under weight and needs someone to help her get to a healthy weight. She also has an itchy spot on her side that we have been working to figure out. After many vet visits she has been started on anti-itch medicine and needs to have special baths each week for the next month. The hope is this will solve her itchy skin spot. Winnie has been in a foster home but they have said they can not keep her any longer because they are becoming too attached. We would love for the next place she goes to be her forever home! We hate to move her to another foster home. We will cover the vet costs of the follow up on her skin spot. If you think you could be Winnie's perfect person please reach out to us asap!
