My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Mouse is a rare find - most gingers are male! She is sweet, quiet little girl who was found sick, emaciated, and dehydrated outside. We took her to the vet immediately and got her back on track. She was frozen out of fear at first, but when she realized she was safe, she warmed up in the sweetest ways. First she would close her eyes and lick her lips when you would pet her, and then she started to purr and stretch out onto her belly to show you how happy she was for the attention.

She is still a little nervous and skittish, so loud noises and sudden movement startle her. But once she feels comfortable, she loves to come and sidle up next to you and purr. She is more of a lap-adjacent cat than a lap cat, but she is definitely affectionate and loves attention.

Mouse also does well with the foster cats in her home but her favorite thing by far is a feather bird toy. She loves to play and leap and run, chasing flying toys and diving into tunnels and play cubes.

She has the funniest tiny ears but lovely orange tabby markings and stunning green-amber eyes and lots of freckles on her lips. She is a young girl, maybe about a year old.

Mouse is spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, dewormed, and flea-free. She tested negative for FIV/FeLV. To schedule a virtual meet-and-greet, please complete an application at tinyurl.com/meowornever.
