Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Piper, she is a bright 7-year-old and 46-pound female Shepherd/Spitz. This lady is so bright she will leave you speechless. If you gain her trust and respect you will be able to teach her anything. She already knows Sit, Wait, Stay, No, Okay, Go Outside, and even Kennel Up. On top of that, this beautiful pup is potty trained, leash trained, and crate trained. She is mostly a couch potato, napping on and off through out the day, yet, she enjoys a walk around the block or roaming in the yard playing with her ball and learning to play fetch.
This beauty enjoys being called over for pets, cuddles and rubdowns. Fun fact: If you stop too soon, she will pat you with her paw asking for more
She is as loyal as they come and has never run out of the yard when the gate is open, nor tried to jump the fence. This beautiful girl can also read your mood and adjust accordingly, making her the best companion. She is also a good watch dog and enjoys sitting by the front door guarding the house.
Piper sheds, but with proper brushing twice a week its totally manageable. This bright girl seems over-protective with her space and will need work when other animals come to her place. Her personality shows she will continue to improve in every area of opportunity she has with adequate understanding and appreciation. If you think this wonderful lady could be part of your family, please apply.
Her adoption fee is $450 plus sales tax and she’s HW negative, current on all HW/Flea preventatives, microchipped, and spayed. All adoption fees go towards expenses like medical and food for Doddle Dandy Dogs and help make it possible for us to continue giving amazing pups like Piper a second chance. If you would like to fill out an application and you are within a 5 hour radius of the DFW area please go to doodledandyrescue.org.
