My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi, my name is Piper and I am an 8 year old female dachshund. While I am not one to perk my ears up, I am a very happy, loving pup who never stops wagging her tail. Some of my likes include digging, eating treats, taking baths, going on walks, and going for a car ride (even if the destination is the vet). My small stature makes me nervous around hyperactive children, so I prefer a home with older kids. I do like other dogs and have been living with 2 other dachshunds. I have been recently diagnosed with Cushing's Disease that was causing a financial burden on my previous owner. I am happiest when I am next to my owner and able to sleep in bed with them. I have a lot of love left to give and if you can handle my medical issue. I know you love me too. My Mom thought feeding me 2 cups a day was ok, cause I would eat it. The rescue says thats too much, and with the right amount it will help me to get my curve back.
