Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Hello! This is KC Chief, just Chief to my foster family. I am a 2 year old Aussie and Great Pyrenees mix. I’m a big boy, about 65 lbs, but I don’t really know what that means and like to lay on my people. I’m a big gentle dog who just wants to be loved and show my owners LOTS of affection. I love to go on walks and am still working on my leash manners. I’m getting better and learning more every day!
One of my favorite things to do is to run and play in the yard and I will require a fenced yard in my new home. I also love to lay outside and watch the world go by. Other things I like are naps (I can fall asleep anywhere), going for car rides, and going for walks. I’ve been practicing sit, lay down (down), shake, crate, wait, up (jump up on my owners chest), and off. I would love my owner to teach me more, I like to learn!
I did get adopted awhile back, but I didn’t know my place in my pack and I thought I could boss everyone and and the other dogs around. I’m ok with most other dogs, but sometimes I get upset with other dogs without much warning, so I’ll need to meet any dog in my potential new home. My rescue friends think it would be best if I had an owner who is patient, consistent, experienced with my breed and is a good leader. Older kids are great but I’m a big boy and may be too much for toddlers and babies. Because of my prey drive, I can’t live with cats. No chickens in my new home, either!
I’m house trained and love sleeping in my crate at night. I eat in my crate so that I feel safe and don’t need to protect my food. I’d really rather my forever family not be gone the whole day so I don’t get lonely. I’m neutered, microchipped and up to date on all my vaccinations. I’m heartworm negative and on monthly heartworm, flea and tick preventatives. I’ll need to stay on these in my new forever home, and always be kept up to date on my vaccines. I’m being fostered in Joplin, MO.
I’m so excited to find my new forever family. I have so much love to give and can’t wait to meet my new family. Could it be you?
