My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Gidget is an older kitten with a pretty white and calico coat. Her tail is lush and full and she holds it up proudly. She is a good eater and uses her litter box well. Just learning to play and enjoy life, Gidget loves the cat dancer and a simple old red string her foster mom flips around for her to chase. Recently, she explored a small toy box with catnap mice and balls with bells. She is learning about love and fun.

Gidget is only nine months old and has already had a full life. This petite girl was given up by a family who had allowed her outside as an intact adolescent and the inevitable happened, she became pregnant. Gidget had nine kittens and, due to her youth and small frame, she was unable to care for them. The remaining five kittens are being bottle fed by a dedicated foster who is working very hard to save them.

It became obvious immediately that Gidget is terrified of other animals. She is now in a foster home with no other animals. She is being spoiled and learning to trust. Her foster mom reports: "Gidget is amazing. She is a wonderful friend. It took some time. But now I can pick her up. She is feisty sometimes, but that is because she loves to play. She is young and energetic. She surely loves to eat. She enjoys freedom, so she chooses a new place to sleep almost every day. She understands “no”. Gidget is very cute. She has her own mind. When I am busy she always finds something to do."

This little girl has come a long way and is ready to go home with her own family where there are no children or other animals. She may accept other animals in her future when she is more confident.
