My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

If you are interested in PATCHES or in adopting a pup in general, the first step is an adoption application. Download an adoption application here
Please email the completed application to pat.woofriver@gmail.com
Please submit an application rather than an inquiry with no application attached.

I know what you are thinking. How beautiful is PATCHES?! Well, let me tell you, PATCHES is just as beautiful inside as she is out. She is gentle, sweet and smart as a whip. She loves to be near her people as much as possible, and happily lays at their feet wherever they may be. She is always so sweet when she is around people and is never pushy about it. PATCHES is a laid back, quiet girl, who can fit into almost any household. She communicates well with her people and loves to tell them all about her day when they get home. She is house trained and has wonderful inside manners. She absolutely loves to cuddle on the couch, but one of her absolute favorite things are belly rubs. If she could spend all day getting her belly rubbed, she most certainly would. PATCHES is incredibly dog friendly and cherishes the time she gets to spend with other pups. So much so, we think she would be happiest in a home with at least one other dog. We WILL REQUIRE there be at least one other resident dog in PATCHES's forever home. She is perfect on walks and is the most gentle baby to handle. PATCHES loves everyone she meets, from children to adults and will make a lifetime of memories with her forever family!

PATCHES is spayed, microchipped, and up to date on all vaccinations including 2 rounds of both the H3N2 and H3N8 canine influenza vaccinations.
Her local adoption fee is $290.

All of our dogs start their journey in Memphis, Tennessee where they remain in loving foster families until they are adopted. Once adopted, some pups stay local in Memphis. Many others travel via one of our transport partners to their new forever homes. We use Pet Express Transport (https://petexpresstupelo.wordpress.com) for our Nashville, Knoxville and New England adoptions. For our Midwest adopters, we have our own private transport.

Breed selection is done in conjunction with two local vets and is not to be considered a guarantee but rather a well-educated decision from well qualified staff.

Due to the extremely high volume of inquiries we receive, we ask that you request, complete, and submit an application before asking additional questions. We try very hard to include all pertinent information in our bios. We are excited to help you find your new family member. However, Woof River is 100% volunteer operated. We want to spend our time saving dogs and assisting those adopters who have taken the time to complete an application. Thank you for understanding.
