Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Owen is on the look-out for his new family, and wants his forever home to know these 10 things about him:
1. I am a Mastiff mix, I weigh around 105lbs, and I am about 4.5 years old.
2. I am a very playful and happy boy. I like to get petted, play outside, and take naps on my bed.
3. I am sweet and sociable with humans, and I like almost every person I meet! I think I would do well in a home with children older than 10.
4. I would like to find a home with medium or large female dogs to play and hang out with.
5. I’m not sure how I feel about felines, but if I’m allowed a slow, supervised introduction, I may be able to cohabitate with cats.
6. The words that best describe me are sweet, goofy, energetic, and affectionate.
7. I don’t like it when you leave me alone outside, because I’m not sure that you’re coming back. My new family will need to have a very tall, very secure fence around their yard, because I am likely to escape and try to find you. I think it would be best if you could walk me on a leash or make sure I’m supervised when outdoors for the first few months.
8. I am housebroken, good on a leash, and crate-trained. I also know how to use a dog door.
9. I am fully vaccinated, neutered, and microchipped.
10. I’ve started heartworm treatment, and will come with all the medicine needed to complete it at my new home.
Ready to give Owen the forever home of his dreams? Fill out our Adoption Application, located at www.bullpenrescue.org under the 'work with us' tab.
We highly recommend that our potential adopters fill out an online application as soon as possible, as it greatly expedites the process of finding the right dog for your situation.
Our dogs are available for adoption nationwide but preference is given to adopters willing to do an in-person meeting. Please understand that our dogs are not adopted on a first-come, first-serve basis, but rather we strive for a "perfect placement" so we know that they will not be failed again.
