My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Smokes e-cigs but carries a lighter to make friends. Wears sunglasses at night. Cheez-Its are his jam. Has 10 pairs of Jordans and ball is life. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Intake Date: 8 Aug 2020 ----- Age at intake: 10 months ----- Breed: Corgi / Heeler blend----- Size: 35 lbs / 18 inches tall ----- Status: shelter transfer ----- Compatible with: dogs, children. Cats not recommended ----- Suitable for: home with a securely fenced yard. ----- Medical/Behavioral needs: none noted ----- Additional Notes: Kovu is so much fun. He is a small and compact guy with ears that he could take off with. Kovu was a shelter transfer due to developing kennel stress and aggressive behaviors while in the shelter but honestly, he has been amazing for us. Meets everyone with a tail wag, met the other dogs great, loves to go on walks but does pull and is SUPER food motivated. He met cats in a semi-ok manner. Basically, if they sit completely still, he ignores them but the second they moved, he was all about it so we recommend a home with no cats OR one willing to really desensitize him and keep everyone safe at the same time. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- If interested in meeting and potentially adopting please read the adoption requirements and complete the adoption application located at forbellessake.org. Once processed and approved a meet and greet can be scheduled and if a match an adoption is finalized at that time. FBS standard adoption fee is $175 and all dogs are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, dewormed, and treated for any known medical needs. Breeds are not guaranteed but often a best guess. Housetraining is not guaranteed but crate training is worked on with all residents. If a yard is present, a secure fence is mandatory. Kovu requires a home with a fenced yard.
