My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Dillon needs a new home.
Central PA area. PLEASE SHARE.
Please read his story below from his devastated mom. We are very sad for both of them.
"Dillon arrived 3 yrs ago as a foster from down south. When he arrived it was love at first sight!
Dillon had also been badly abused and was extremely frightened when he arrived. He would not come to me even for food. I would beg him sometimes for 15-20 minutes and then he would crawl very slowly on his belly, hesitating after each move and looking at me in fear. When he ate he would look up after each bite looking like he was afraid of being hit. It took about 6 weeks before he would actually walk over to the food to eat and come close to me on his own. I also did not hear him bark for several months. I was both surprised and thrilled the first time he barked to let me know a delivery man was at the door. Dillon became my foster failure and the Sebastian Foundation agreed to let me adopt him. He is fully housebroken. He regularly goes 10-12 hours overnight without having to go out. His favorite play things are a small empty cardboard box to shred, an empty tuna can to toss around or a braided rope to play fetch.
I have been told by his groomer and the staff at the boarding facility I use occasionally that he is a sweet boy.
He has become my loving companion. Wherever I am he can be found close by and we spend evenings watching TV snuggled on the sofa together. I love him dearly and it is with a very heavy heart that I must give him up due to medical issues that are progressing. I never thought I was a person who gave up her dog, but I can no longer physically care for him and he so deserves to be loved and cared for. I pray a good loving home can be found for him. Thank you for considering this sweet boy."
Dillon is dog reactive and must be an only dog!
Please let us know if you would like to adopt or foster him.
Thank you from all of us!
