Here's what the humans have to say about me:
We adopt only in the Greater St. Louis Area. A fenced yard is required. Maggie will not be placed with children under the age of 16 years.
Meet Maggie. Smaller than the average Corgi weighing around 17 pounds and cute as a button, Maggie is full of spunk and sass, and meets life head-on. Maggie has neurological and minor vision issues, but she does not let them keep her from leading a mostly normal Corgi life. These conditions do, however, mean she needs a special family and home. She does not take stairs safely – she tries to leap them, so a single level or ranch style home is a must. She has an adjustable ramp that she likes to use to get on /off the couch. Maggie is ~2 years old and is crate, potty, and leash trained. She loves to go for walks and hikes, but her walks should be limited to 1 to 2 blocks. If you want to go longer than that Maggie is ready to ride along in her K9 sport sack backpack. Maggie needs a friendly older canine brother or sister she can run and play with in a fenced yard, and to help show her the ropes. Cats and birds are no issue, but young children are not a good fit. While Maggie is special needs and will require dedicated attention, patience, and lots of petting, the love and affection she gives in return are well worth the adjustments.
Maggie is crate and house trained. She is spayed, microchipped, and up to date on vaccines. Please visit our website at www.petssecondchance.org for more information about us and about Corgis. Email claireelizabeth@petssecondchance.org for more information.
