Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Leroy is a 10 month old Treeing Walker Coonhound boy waiting in the Hickory area for his forever home. He is in good weight for his age and should mature as a medium sized hound around 50 pounds. Like any young dog, Leroy needs someone who understands that he will become the absolute best he can be with exercise, structure and affection. He's extremely smart, loves being with his person and is just a genuinely happy young man looking for his forever home.
Leroy is a happy, active fella that would do best in a home where he can get plenty of activity. He loves being outside and needs a canine companion or two that can match his energy level. He is currently in a foster home with several other dogs and does very well with all of them except for the smallest ones; his size and enthusiastic way of saying 'let's play!" are a bit too much for the Chihuahuas. His best friend is a scrappy terrier (pictured above) that is smaller but confident. NO cats, please. He's very reliable in the yard, no digging or fence jumping and, in typical hound fashion, he's somewhat vocal but not excessively.
As wide open as he is in the great outdoors, Leroy is also really good in the house. He's housetrained, absolutely fine in his crate and will sit for his bowl of food. He lets his foster mom know when he needs to go out.
