My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Bear is a 15-year-old, gentle, sweet, easy to walk, intact male Rottweiler looking for a loving guardian.

Bear’s human recently passed away and he was brought to the Famous Fido Rescue on June 25th.

His human’s owner says he was his dad’s best friend since he was 15 years old. When his dad passed, he relinquished his beloved dog.

Bear appears to have lived as the only pet in the home.

He is housebroken, loves short walks and is an all around nice guy.

He is an arthritic senior looking for a home with no stairs. He’s up to date on rabies, distemper, Bordetella, and lyme disease vaccines, dewormed, heartworm-tested and on monthly heartworm prevenetative.

His adoption fee of $250 benefits the Famous Fido Rescue.

To meet and possibly adopt Bear, please e-mail Tina at tinasells@yahoo.com or fill out the application for adoption at https://www.famousfidorescue.org/machform/view.php?id=10949&fbclid=IwAR0mpCMb0H2P_Q7aYOCEzYhw7E3WLc8yhN722HCMI7pEbS1u_3tZxOL3GME
He is currently at the Famous Fido Shelter at 3124 W. Irving Park in Chicago, but that’s no life for a senior who’s accustomed to the luxuries of a home life.
