Orlando! DOB: 2/2017 Weight: 58 lbs
This guy is so full of life! Very playful and people/kid friendly. He is house and crate trained. Not crazy fond of the crate, but will deal with it. Orlando is a short and stocky beagle/pit mix. He loves the mud and water and will roll and play in it any chance he gets. Orlando does okay with cats and dogs but he likes to be the top dog most times. It depends on who his housemate is, every dog is different. He does well for baths and does fairly okay walking on the leash. He knows how to sit and takes treats nicely. Orlando is rather quiet, we almost never hear him bark. He loves walks and being loved on. However, his only problem is that he does have some resource guarding. He likes to guard his food bowl so he’ll need to be worked with or fed in separate area. It’s been awhile since he was tested with toys but he likely does the same with valued toys.
His adoption fee is $175. That helps us to cover worming, vaccines, spay/neuter, heart worm test, and microchip. We offer a 2-3 week trial. If for some reason it does not work out, you’ll be refunded $100 of your fee. If interested in adopting him please fill out an application on our NEW website. https://www.newliferescues.org . If you have issues, send us a message through our Facebook. Came to the shelter 7/2020.
