My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Currently in foster in Tacoma, Washington. Elvis is a 1 year old 22 lb Jack Russell mix. HE MUST BE IN A HOME WITH AT LEAST ONE OTHER DOG. He is a super sweet and friendly lad. He is an indoor dog. He likes walks, car rides, toys and dog beds. He likes other dogs and cats that will play with him and LUVS humans. He will require daily walks/hikes and some dog training. Will require 6 ft fence. No apartments (can be vocal). He must be in a home with another dog, no exceptions to that he must have another dog. Do not inquire bc we must have an application to adopt, so there's no point in taking up your time and ours bc we cannot do anything without an application. Thank you.

DO NOT INQUIRE about this pet. We cannot do anything with an inquiry, so you are wasting your time and ours. We MUST have an application to adopt a dog so please apply. If you inquire rather than apply, you can lose your chance in adopting this specific dog, since we MUST have a completed application. We cannot do anything with an inquiry. Please do apply.

Important: If you are interested in this pup/dog, please fill out the application (link listed above). The rescue will contact you once the application is received. Although we strive to answer everyone, due to the high volume of inquiries we receive, we cannot guarantee a response to all emails. Filling out the application is the best way and ensures a response from the rescue. In addition, while you are emailing us, if others apply, you can lose out adopting the dog you chose. We have hundreds and hundreds of puppies/dogs available so there really is no need to apply anywhere else. However, if you are applying or have applied anywhere else, we do need to know that.

SHANYE'S FOSTERS is a group of foster parents in the Olympia/Tumwater area. We foster dogs for rescues to assist them in adopting/rehoming of dogs by listing on this site. All adoption fees go towards rescuing more dogs in need. No one receives a salary. Shayne's Fosters is not responsible for any experience you have with any dog you might see posted on this site. They are the property of the sponsoring rescue who will supply all medical supporting records which is given with each dog when adopted.

Our adoption fees cover all medical costs to make sure the pups are appropriately vaccinated, microchipped, dewormed, and spayed/ neutered. It also covers the cost of transportation from Texas and the necessary health certificate documentation. The fees also include a negative heart-worm test for any dogs over 6 months. Some dogs/pups have additional medical, including but not limited to FHO, ACL, hernias, dental, and a myriad of other vetting. If the adoption fees seem high (which never cover the true cost of rescue), we recommend fostering for a good rescue. Fostering ensures you incur no vet bills and no boarding fees. We are always in need of good fosters. We are all volunteers who appreciate a good dog and feel they all need a second chance at a good life.

Thank you for choosing to adopt a rescue pup/dog. Worldwide over 1/2 billion puppies/dogs are PTS yearly and over 9,000/day just in U.S. shelters. Yes even entire litters of puppies are PTS daily in many US shelters! We firmly believe there is NO breed other than rescue for all species. Thank you for being part of the village it takes to save these precious lives.
