My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Cookie (about 1.5- 2 years old as of July, 2020) is a spayed female tortieshell shorthaired cat. Cookie was trapped in Spring Grove as part of a trap-neuter-return project with a litter of newborn kittens to take care of. A few months later her kittens have grown and found homes of their own, and Cookie has proven to be a sweet little girl who loves living among humans so now it's her turn to find a forever home. Although growing up outside she never got used to things like being picked up she is a friendly and vocal girl who warms up quickly and loves getting pets and treats wherever possible. She's trying to figure out sitting in laps but is still a little unsure of the process. Having had to grow up quick to be a mama kitty she isn't as playful as most cats her age, but is used to putting up with her own playful kittens and is very patient. We think she would do fine with most other cats, kids old enough to be calm around her, and maybe even really good cat friendly dogs although we haven't tried her up close and personal and would recommend a long trial period. ADOPTION FEE FOR CATS OLDER THAN A YEAR ARE $25 OR $40/PAIR DURING AUGUST'S CLEAR THE SHELTER ADOPTION EVENT.
