Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Lieutenant Dan was found laying underneath a car in the Oklahoma heat, unable to use his hind legs. We went to the shelter to pick him up as soon as we were notified, and took him straight to our Vet. He was very dehydrated, had a high white blood cell count and several other issues. Luckily, within a few hours he rallied and was able to stand on his own. They believe it could be from Rocky Mountain Spotted fever, because that's the only tick borne illness we didn't test him for and all the others came back negative.
He's in a loving temporary foster home now, and once healthy he'll be ready for adoption. If you'd like to do a foster-to-adopt please apply on our website: https://shelterfriends.org/adoption-application/
