Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Summit and her puppies were rescued from their miserable lives living under an abandoned house by rescue team member, Genevieve. She literally spent days over at the abandoned house gaining their trust enough for them to come out from under the house. Summit was left behind on the property after her owner moved out. She looks like a black Doberman mix and is around 65 pounds. She ended up becoming pregnant and gave birth to 4 puppies under the house.
All of Summit's puppies have been adopted and now it's her turn! Summit is a sweetheart that loves belly rubs and attention from people. We suspect she has lived a very neglected life and is now basking in the love and attention she is getting at her foster home. She has been a bit wary/scared of the other dogs in her foster home and we are still working on that, but we think she would absolutely love to be someone's one and only with all the attention on her. She has been fine with the foster's cats. There are no kids in her foster home. She is really smart and has quickly taken to basic commands and has been house trained and crate trained. Our vet estimates she is between 6 and 7 years old.
Summit's adoption fee is $650 (GROUND transport from Houston, TX to the Hartford, CT area is included in the adoption fee). Transport is arranged to adopter upon finalization of adoption paperwork. Summit is in her foster home in Sheridan, TX and will remain there until adopted.
