Here's what the humans have to say about me:
OZZIE COMES WITH PREPAID OBEDIENCE CLASSES, THE CLASSES MUST BE TAKEN IN PAPILLION NE
Ozzie is a happy border collie / kelpie mix. He is full of smiles and bounce. We suspect his age to be approximately 2 years old. Ozzie came to us form a shelter, went into foster care and then was adopted. He was returned after a couple of months and is in a foster home again. It is important that Ozzie finds a consistent environment. He seems to have set backs with each change in his environment.
Ozzie wants nothing more than to be loved and accepted. Ozzie is high drive when he is engaged with other animals, but when alone with his person he is content to just follow them around the house. He thinks he is quite the little helper. He is very serious about assuring that his person is never alone.
Oz has been to Doggie Day care and chose labs, huskies and other large dogs as his playmates. He loved the resident cat and plays very nicely with him. Ozzie would be best in a home without small children.
Ozzie has good house manners and recall. He knows sit and has a good "stay" without major distractions, and he can currently 'stay' up to 10 feet away and for a minute or so. Ozzie also knows "shake". He has completed basic obedience classes. He is not a chewer, but does like a nylabone or chew stick to occupy his time. He responds well to firm, fair, and consistent training. Corrections given in a clam voice are responded to best. Ozzie is crate trained and usually very quiet in his crate. Ozzie is food motivated. He walks well on a leash. Oz enjoys going for walks, either alone with you or along with another dog.
If you are looking for a devoted little guy who wants nothing more than to be your buddy, Oz could be the dog for you.
