My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Shiori came to CMR because her family could no longer care for her. The more I get to know this highly intelligent, adorable sweetheart, the more I love her! I've taken her with me to meet friends for coffee outside of Starbucks, to Oldtown Florence with many other people and dogs walking along the harbor, and she greets everyone with a happy smile and wagging tail. The staff at our vet office adore her. She is such a great girl!

Spunky, sensitive girl seeks calm, loving forever home.

*Sweet, well mannered, intelligent and eager to please.

*Plays well with small and large dogs.

*Loves her toys and blankets to snuggle in. She plays fetch and keep away!

*Bonds quickly and extremely loyal to people she knows and trusts. She wants to be with her people. Excellent recall.

*Walks nicely on leash.

*Energetic and active. She would be a great dog for someone who loves hiking, running, or long walks.

*Shiori just turned 9 years old.

**Shiori can be anxious and fearful, and she has a genetic startle reflex behavior when sleeping. She should sleep in a crate in the same bedroom as her person/person rather than sleeping in their bed. Shiori requires an experienced adopter that can help her feel safe and secure. A home where her person is retired or works from home would be ideal as Shiori may experience separation anxiety until she feels secure. We were told she guards her food, however, we haven't seen this behavior. Shiori needs love, time, patience and gentle positive guidance to help her feel safe and overcome fearful behaviors. Needs adult only home due to her anxiety. No cats.

Please contact us and let us know more about your home and family if you are interested in meeting Shiori. Thanks!
