See that handsome man up there with the one stunning blue eye...that's me Copper and I am searching for my forever home!! I am one special boy according to Mom!! I am a 4 year old Basset Mix (most likely with Sheppard) and just a tad taller than most Bassets and have longer hair than most. I once had a loving family of my own but they couldn't afford to get me out of doggy jail, so the nice people there contacted rescue and here I am living the high life of LOVE!! I have the sweetest personality you could ever want in a furkid. I love my 4 legged sister Sophie, but Mom and Dad have quickly discovered I absolutely can not go to a home with other male dogs....I am not so nice to them, and can you blame me wanting to be the man of the house!! Due to the fact that I don't like other male dogs rescue is kindly requesting I go to a home with a secure yard as well....we don't want any instances happening if another boy dog comes into my territory & boy oh boy do I love to run!! I ADORE the little 2 leggers, you know the kids!!! Mom says I have to mention that I am quite the talker....when I want something I use my beautiful singing voice to let you know...so it would be best if I go to a home environment and not apartment living. I am UTD on all vaccinations and HW tested negative and on monthly preventative and altered. If you would like to hear more about me just give Mom a shout! Please remember Every animal for adoption through an Hounds Haven is fully vetted for their age and only needs routine preventive care. Dogs older then 6 months of age are heartworm tested! All dogs are kept on heartworm preventative. Every hound is vaccinated (age appropriate), and de-wormed, in addition to being spayed/neutered.
We are asking for interested parties to fill out a pre-adoption questionnaire prior to us lining up an appointment for them to see the hound(s) at the hound(s)' home.
