Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Ben & Jerry! These beautiful bonded boys will melt your heart!!
Ben, chocolate longhair and Jerry, black/silver dapple longhair, are just over 2 years old, weighing approximately 14 lbs. are looking for their forever home. A home that will fill their hearts with love, gentleness, patience and happiness. Their past lives was not kind and therefore, the boys need a quiet home located in a rural area (the boys are not city dogs).
Jerry's personality is shy, warms up quicker to females, LOVES LOVES playing fetch and having squeaky toys (this simple pleasure goes a very long way)!!
Ben's personality is shy, has a preference for younger adult males, LOVES LOVES water, especially when watering the garden!!
They must sleep in the human bed for comfort, bonding, sense of security.
Both boys are typical doxie barkers (doors, yard critters).
Ben and Jerry are potty trained, leash training is a work in progress and are not crate trained. They take time to trust humans but when they do, the boys are extremely loving and sweet. They have a preference for males who are gentle, soft spoken and fun!!! No small children; older children 18+ over are welcomed. They do get along with other small dogs and having a canine companion is not required however, it would be a bonus. Both boys have a prey drive towards little critters so a home with no cats, chickens, birds is required. They are healthy, neutered, up to date with vaccines and microchipped.
Their forever home should be active outdoors with daily walks, quiet home life, have breed specific knowledge, single family residence with a secure fenced yard, work part-time, work from home or early age retirement.
If you meet the requirements, please complete an application from the website - www.hearts4doxiesrescue.org
