My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Tucker is a wonderful ginormous Labradoodle! Tucker turned 4 years old on March 22, 2020. Tucker is a very attentive, obedient and a wonderful boy that deserves a forever home that can give him what he needs. He is extremely playful, loving and would be ideal in a home that can spend time with doing things with him. He loves the water and enjoys playing fetch with tennis balls, throwing toys and playing hid and go seek Tucker. He is house broken, does well in a crate and is very social and extremely affectionate. Tucker knows cues like; sit, lay down, speak just to name a few. He is super around all people accept we don’t believe he would be ideal around small children because of his size and puppy ways regardless of age. Tucker also has selective hearing when your calling him especially if he is playing and has a toy. Tucker has plenty of energy and does require an active family willing to give him the exercise he needs daily to stay well balanced plus its a requirement he has a huge fenced in yard to run around in. Tucker will chew if he doesn’t receive the exercise he needs or is bored and he is not one to stay in a crate long periods of time. Tucker fits in a Great Dane crate comfortably not smaller will do. Tucker gets along with other dogs or cats, but doesn't care about them and can be without. He is all about his people and spending time with them so he would do very well in a home that can focus and give him the correct attention. If your seeking a dog for your other dog to play with Tucker is NOT that dog. He is a great companion dog to a work from home individual or family with teens. Tucker rides well in a car and good on a leash with the right harness. He is a truly good and wonderful boy. He is a tall and very strong boy so he needs a strong leader and one that will give him the attention he seeks. Tucker is truly very special. Please DO NOT apply if you live in an apartment, have long flights of stairs in your home, want a playmate for another dog, don't have a large fenced in yard or no yard. Tucker needs and deserves a forever home that will cherish this boy and provide the right environment! If you are qualified and interested in Tucker go to our website and complete the pre-adoption application http://www.southernskiesrescue.org Tucker is fully medically vetted; neutered, up-to-date on all vaccines, heart worm tested and placed on prevention plus microchipped.
