My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Ramona, our little miracle girl, who is about 6-7 months old and weighs about 30 pounds. She will probably be a medium size dog as an adult. She comes to us from another rescue who could not provide the medical care she needed. She was born with a perianal fistula, which required a specialized surgery. She had the surgery upon entering our rescue and has been doing very well. She’s completely healed, and we are delighted and overjoyed! She is crate trained, and on her way to being potty trained. When she is let out of her crate in the morning, she will great you with so much joy and happiness! Because of her previous condition, you may need to periodically clean up after her. She is dog friendly, making good buddies with her foster brother and sister, a small and large dog. She has seen the cats and doesn’t quite know what to make of them yet. She loves to be in the backyard hunting for sticks and running around. It may take her a little bit to feel comfortable around new people, but, fruits and veggies help, she loves them! Once she knows you, she loves to be petted while she curls up next to you on the couch. She’s going to make a fantastic companion for someone. If you are interested in giving Ramona her forever home, let us know!

We are doing one on one meetings for serious adopters, with a $50 deposit. You will be required to do home video, and pay deposit before meeting puppy. You will be required to pay remainder of fee ($450) by cash or check at time of meeting when filling out adoption contract.
As part of your adoption contract, you may be required to transport the puppy to complete his/her shots, as well as for their spay/neuter at a later date. While puppies are adorable and cute, they are a lot of work. They take time, dedication, and above all, commitment. They will require training (we give you 4 training sessions with us). The rescue strives to give you a puppy that has a good foundation for you to build upon. We are a FORCE FREE rescue. The adoption contract you will be signing specifically states that you agree to NEVER use any aversive methods nor tools like a shock, prong or choke collar. We are never sure about breed because we do not do DNA (we make our best guess), so if that is important to you, this puppy may not be the right choice for you. Please, consider everything when making a decision to adopt a puppy. As part of your adoption package, each dog/puppy will be fully vaccinated (Da2PP, Rabies), have a microchip, and be spayed/neutered. You may need to come back to us to complete shots, spay or neuter, hw test. You will receive 6 mths of HW preventative. You will receive a free bag of premium dog food. If you live in one of the designated zip codes for Choice Pet Market, you will receive a gift card from them. Training is MANDATORY and will be scheduled at a later date and place.
