My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

UPDATE 1/19/21: Bana is doing wonderful in her foster home. She now sniffs the cats ands walks away, if they run she will chase but can be called off. Bana is fine with children 12+. Her main requirement is to be a solo dog, she is doing wonderful with the resident ACD, but we prefer to place her as a solo. Adventures & fetch are high on her daily needs & her true loves, however she adores her person and cuddling at the end of the day is a great bonus. Bana is ready for her forever home!

7/25/2020: Bana has shown huge improvements and willingness to comply with the rules. She is re-learning to enjoy the company of the resident ACD & to leave the cats be. She crates like a dream, comes when called, loves to snuggle with her person & is a happy ACD. Bana is the epitome of a female ACD & if you understand that she will flourish in your care. She will not be placed in a home with children or animals smaller than her. I have some very strict placement requirements with her, b/c if they are not followed she will take over your heart, house, world, and universe. She is a normal issue free ACD in my care. If you are interested in adopting Bana please email info@ocdrescueteam.org for an application or go to our website for the link.

7/13/2020: Bana has Returned to OCDRT due to not getting along with the resident ACD. She is now 5 years old. Bana will require an ACD savvy home. Please check back for updates. Below is her bio from when she was first fostered with OCDRT.

New to OCDRT on 4/7/2015 from NE Ohio

Bana is being fostered in Creston OH

Bana was born in early November, around 5 months old, & petite at 20#. Bana was owner surrendered due to not being compatible with the owner's Senior Border Collie. She has a great foundation and nearly all her vetting was completed. We will complete her vaccine's and micro-chip. She is crate trained, started well in house training, good on a leash, knows her basic obedience, and loves to play fetch. Bana is defensive around the pack, but is learning they mean her no harm so as she lets her guard down, we will see her true personality. Bana will require an ACD savvy home with puppy experience. Please check back for updates as we get to know her better during her 2 - 3 week evaluation.

UPDATE 5/9/2015: Bana had a successful meeting and is in her new home. We will update as she settles in.

UPDATE 5/26/2015: Bana is officially Adopted!

If you would like to donate a monthly $30 sponsorship or donate towards a fosters excessive medical bills please go to www.ocdrescueteam.org/donate - we thank you!

ADOPTION INFORMATION: P lease email acdrsqohio@gmail.com for an adoption application, as this is the first step to the adoption process. We are better able to suggest a potential match after reviewing your completed application. We require a telephone interview, check references, home support visit, & a contract and adoption fee of $250 applies. All our foster dogs are altered, heartworm tested and kept on prevention, tick borne disease tested, receive DHLPP, Bordatella, Lyme, & Rabies vaccine, fecal tested & de-wormed as necessary, micro-chipped, any additional medical concerns or behavior concerns are addressed, crate trained, leash trained, and are kept on a premium food.

PLEASE NOTE: This Rescue is not a public shelter. This dog is being fostered in a private home until adoption. Our fosters are adopted on first come, first serve basis. We process applications in the order received. If approved for adoption, a deposit is required to hold the dog until a meeting can be arranged. We do require prospective adopters to travel to the home of the foster dog along with all family members, including any resident dog(s). This is the only way to see the known temperament of our fosters dogs, while they are in the home they feel is 'theirs'. Any behavior concerns with meeting new people/dog(s) on their home 'turf' will be visible at the meeting.
