Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Faith is a sweet little dog who has so much to offer, and she especially loves tummy rubs. She is very interested in food and has a hearty appetite. She has been good with the other dogs in our household and she does best being fed separately or in a crate away from other dogs because she doesn’t like to be bothered by other dogs during meal time. Faith is an excellent car rider, and isn’t a big fan of walking on the leash, she thoroughly enjoys being in the yard. She enjoys exploring the back yard and napping in the grass or on the deck but she prefers to spend most of her time inside. Faith’s foster home has quite a few doggie beds scattered throughout the house and she has enjoyed napping in all of them! She sometimes likes napping on piles of laundry in the laundry room.
Sweet little Faith has overcome so much and she has lots of love and loyalty to give in thanks for being rescued. We discovered her severely injured in a rural shelter with severe injuries to her hind leg. We swooped her up and had her treated for her severe infection and in three weeks Faith had healed enough to have surgery to amputate her injured leg. She tolerated her surgery well, enjoyed a smooth recovery in a loving foster home, and is now ready to find her forever home.
Losing a leg doesn’t seem to hold Faith back from anything she wants to do. She gets along well on three legs as she moves around the house and yard. She easily hops up the three steps from the back yard to the deck.
When she first came, Faith exclusively used pee pads to do her business but since then she begun goingpotty outside. Her foster mom takes her outside to go potty every few hours but still has a pee pad available inside and this arrangement has worked well.
Faith has been an easy girl to foster. Her needs are few: food, tummy rubs, cuddles, a comfortable bed (or several!) -- and she has so much love to give in return! If you are looking for a sweet little companion, you couldn’t find a better one than Faith. She adores everyone she meets, including men.
Faith is spayed, tested negative for heartworms, current on vaccines and preventatives and microchipped. She is located in Huntsville, AL, and is happy to travel wherever her journey leads! Email MeghanEClayton@gmail.com to inquire about sweet Faith.
