Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Baron had the best brushing of his life!! He loved every minute and even fell asleep!!! He loves belly rubs and is looking much, much better!! The is no reason he had to have all those mats and extra fur - he loves to be brushed and really appreciated it. We did have to cut out some thistles and we are hoping to give him a bath tomorrow... any helpers??? Baron also made a new video to showcase his talents. He is an absolute sweetheart and just wants to cuddle. He would be perfect for someone looking for a cuddling buddy or someone to keep your toes warm this winter. He loves to be hugged and cuddled now and sees just how great it is to be loved. He loves to play with the toys and really adores playing fetch. He likes to shake the toys around and really enjoys running around. Baron is a really good boy that likes the other dogs here and is easy going, gentle and eager to please.
Meet Baron- a very sweet guy that seems to have been lacking some care and attention. Baron's coat is very matted and his fur is full of thistles and other things around his head and in his tail. He is pretty thin right now at 50 lbs and will need to have some extra helpings for a while. He also has scabs on the tops of his ears, we think are from fly bites, but they are healing nicely and should cover over with hair. Baron has a very fluffy head and tail, but his body has more of a flat coat. We think with some proper nutrition and regular brushing his coat will look amazing. He appears to be a Samoyed/Husky mix and about 2 -3 years old. His thick coatwould be perfect for those who love outdoor winter activities like sledding, skating, snowman building, cross country skiing, skijorning and many many others. Baron will have to be brushed often to keep his coat looking great and to reduce his shedding. He will need to have his undercoat brushed out every spring to keep him cool and to keep his coat from matting. He is a sweet guy that is very quiet in his pen. He has amazing manners and does not jump, can sit and walks nicely on his leash. Baron seems fine with the other dogs here and has a submissive and mellow type personality, but would love to have a run and play in the outdoor enclosure with his new room mate just to be sure. He seems a little shy and reserved right now, so we would suggest older children until he has had some time to adjust to his new home. Baron is a little unsure of hugging right now - it seems as though this poor boy has never been hugged and does not understand what it is all about. He is affectionate and loves to get his ears scratched and his back rubbed and simply adores sniffing around. Baron seems to be content sniffing in the pen and taking in all the new smells. Baron does like playing with the toys and likes the tennis balls best - he likes the bounce they have compared to the other toys. We are not sure how he is with cats, so he should be slowly introduced to them and have the cats approach at their own pace. Baron is a medium sized dog, and iis full grown. He is looking for a new family to love and begin a new chapter in his life. Please come down and meet Baron.
Baron's adoption fee is 166.98 and will include his
