Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
I found a new home! Plenty of my friends are looking for one too. Check out other pets at this shelter, or start a new search.

Here's what the humans have to say about me:
We are encouraged to see this happy face although there is still sadness deep in her heart. Kit came to us abused and traumatized. She would not let us near her for days and even now, although we are greeted with happy tail wags, when we reach to pet her, she will drop on the ground and grovel. Very submissive and distrusting, particularly of men. Because of this we feel we need to label Kit as "special needs". Her new owner is going to have to be patient, kind and gentle. Kit is a VERY smart dog who is housebroke, great with children, super with other dogs and has worked cattle but will only do so for an owner she trusts. Mostly, deep down, Kit just wants to be a beloved family member where she can learn that the hands that reach for her do so out of love and not malice. When playing and having fun, we can see the real dog underneath . . . the happy girl that has sweet brown eyes and a silly grin. In the right new home, hopefully she can wear her true sweet face you see in this photo 100% of the time.
