My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Ruby! We don’t know an exact age or breed for her, but we estimate her to be a poodle mix between 2-4 years old. She came to us with a previous unknown trauma to her right eye. Her eye was abscessed and to needed to be removed. She is doing well since her surgery and is now looking for her fur-ever home. She is shy at first but once she warms up she enjoys playing with other dogs. Ruby is from a commercial breeder so she is still working on potty training, walking on a leash and getting used to people, we don’t believe she has ever been in a home. She enjoys being around dogs her size and she’s more confident with other dogs around, so we are looking to place her in a home with another dog.

An approved adoption application is required. The $250 adoption fee (payable by cash or check only) includes spay/neuter; microchip; dental teeth cleaning (if needed prior to adoption); vaccinations; and heartworm testing. Dogs for adoption may be seen by appointment only following an approved application. Proof of completion of an obedience class is required for all dogs following adoption. Please note: while we welcome out of state applications, we do not ship our animals and require adopters to come to Holland to finalize any adoption.
