My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Oscar is a beautiful dark gray and white (with darker tabby stripes) teen kitty. He came from a dire situation, near starvation. He and his "family" of about 20 cats were covered in fleas and lice, had Giardia and upper respiratory infections, yet remained friendly though scared. Oscar is very shy and it takes him a long time to relax around people so he needs an adopter who is experienced with shy cats. Oscar is very friendly with a small dog and after a proper introduction gets along with cats. He is very playful. He enjoys being brushed and petted, but only when he is confident he trusts someone. With each day he is becoming more and more relaxed around his foster home. Oscar is a very pretty cat with a big plumey tail and fluffy ruff. He is looking for a home with patient adopters who will give him time to adapt and relax. He would enjoy having a small cat-friendly dog or kitty pal. He would do best with older school aged children and up. Toddlers would be too much for him. He has been neutered, tested negative for FeLV and FIV, is up to date on his shots, and already microchipped. Discount available to seniors, military/veterans, and on disability.
